Annie’s Apple Orchard

Annie’s First Birthday

Our girl is ONE! I can not believe it! Everyone warned me. But I did not comprehend it.

Seriously, from the moment she arrived, time immediately sped up. I remember the first time she was laid on my chest. I feel like it had only been a few minutes, but the clock said hours. The days went by fast. The months faster. And I’ve blinked and a year has passed. How did this little being grow to be so big, and so smart, right before my eyes and I didn’t even see it?!

If this first year has went this fast, I dread how fast life will continue to be. I wish I could hit the pause button and just breathe in more moments. And that was my outlook on her first birthday. I had realized time was precious, and I refused to be stuck spending so much time away from her trying to put together a birthday party. I didn’t want to get so invested in the material things and be upset if something wasn’t working out as planned. That includes her smash cake toppling over in transit. And Annie having a blow out on the way to the party. I had to take her dress off, wash it, and dry it in the sun. 🥴😂 But non the less, I wanted to be able to breathe in the moments with her and my husband.

A Special Thanks:

I had much help! So very thankful for my husband, brother, and sister in law, for setting up the tables and chairs for me, and then had additional help in tearing down the party from my aunt and uncle. And my parents for picking up catering for me.
