First Christmas Tree of 2021: Little Girls bedroom

In this house I am an early Christmas decorator. First of all it doesn’t take just one day. So I have to get a head start. And now adding on a 14 month old who is a TORNADO and into EVERYTHING, it’s going to take even longer. So just for fun, and training, we put up Annie’s Christmas tree in her room first.

This is Annie’s second Christmas, but her first one where she’s mobile. She has a fascination with balls, and has an explorer spirit, so I knew the “training” tree would be great for her. I commited to myself that I would let her do whatever she wanted to do with her tree. If she wanted to rip all the ornaments off, that was her tree, and she can go crazy with one place; not destroying the main tree in the great room.

So one day, we went to Hobby Lobby and got her a new tree and ornaments. They were having their 50% off sale on Christmas, so I got her a 4.5 foot pre-lit tree, garland, snowflakes, and ornaments, all for about $100. Not so bad for a toddler about to destroy. 😂

I got home from work one evening, we put our Christmas Pjs on, blared some Disney Christmas music, and got to it!

I honestly do recommend setting up a tree in a child’s room, that they can call their own. She hardly ever messes with the big tree, and it saves me a lot of stress. I think she also loves going in her room with her own tree lit. 💗
